David W. Foley has practiced criminal law in Colorado since 1998. He spent the first four years of his career as a deputy district attorney in the Fourth Judicial District, prosecuting a wide range of misdemeanors and felonies. He soon was training other D.A.'s and established a domestic violence program.
Mr. Foley opened his own practice in 2002, and his prosecutor background provides an invaluable advantage to clients. Many defense lawyers waste time on matters that are not important to the district attorney. David Foley understands what facts are important to the D.A., and he can anticipate strategies and opportunities for negotiation. He cuts to the heart of the matter to resolve the case through negotiations or to identify the strengths and weaknesses in preparation for trial.
