A Pillar of Defense in Colorado Springs

What were the circumstances of your drunk driving arrest?

Let's say you were leaving a Colorado Springs party at about 1 a.m. You had a little bit to drink, but your best friend had even more to drink, so you decided to take a risk and drive her home. Even though you were not anywhere near as intoxicated as your friend, and even though you thought you were within the legal limit, your blood alcohol level was borderline.

A Colorado Springs police officer police officer pulled you over for speeding, and as soon as she got to your window, she took one look at your friend's drunken state and smelled the alcoholic breath coming off of her. The officer immediately asked you to step outside of your vehicle and began to run a battery of sobriety tests on you.

Because you were only borderline, you passed the field sobriety tests. Nevertheless, on the Breathalyzer you scored a 0.08 percent blood alcohol content. The officer immediately arrested you and took you to jail.

At the Foley Law Firm, we know that it's a lot easier than most people think to find yourself in trouble with the law. We also know that good people make honest mistakes in judgment. Just because you've been charged with a crime does not mean you're a bad person, and it certainly doesn't mean you've done more wrong than the average Colorado Springs resident.

At the Foley Law Firm, we represent regular people in their criminal cases, and we use every legal strategy available to defend our clients against their charges. Depending on the facts of your case, we might try to seek a verdict of not guilty, or try to get your charges dismissed or dropped. Alternatively, if it appears that a drunk driving conviction is likely, we may advise you to negotiate with the prosecution to reach a plea deal in exchange for reduced punishments.
