Woman accused of domestic violence after massive blaze

We hear a lot about the role of social media in the law today, and a recent case out of Colorado proves that Facebook posts can sometimes incite strange behavior. Officials in Centennial say that a Facebook update may be to blame for a giant apartment fire in June. That blaze injured eight people and caused about $1.5 million in damages at a local apartment complex. Investigators say the fire may be traced back to a domestic violence situation that was exacerbated by a social media post. The defendant is facing charges of attempted murder and domestic violence.

9 could face ID theft and drug charges in Colorado

Nine people in Colorado could be looking at charges for ID theft and drugs, as they were all indicted recently. Five of them are women and four of them are men. According to the documents, they used money that they had gotten through illegal methods to then buy illegal drugs, which included methamphetamine.

2 men in Colorado jailed for burglary attempt

Two men in Colorado are now behind bars after they allegedly tried to rob a convenience store and were caught by the police. Both are facing charges of burglary of a building, and both have had their bonds set at $25,000. As of the latest report, neither has posted bond, and they are awaiting trial in jail.

A sex crime is a sex crime, no matter when it occurs or whether the accused is brought to justice immediately following the act. While there are instances in which a person gets away with such a crime, these are few and far between. A man who sexually assaulted a Denver woman on Sept. 6, 1994, has been charged by authorities.
