At least 5 injured in crash involving fuel tanker in Colorado

On Behalf of | Jun 7, 2021 | Motor Vehicle Accidents |

Any time people are driving in busy or congested areas, there is a risk of a crash. Sometimes, multiple vehicles will get involved.

Multi-vehicle crashes often cause serious injuries because the victims are struck multiple times from varied angles. Each impact may worsen the injuries from the previous, which is why seeking emergency medical care is so important.

Take for example this case in Commerce City where a multi-vehicle collision led to at least one person suffering serious injuries. Four others were treated at the scene. The person transported to the hospital had to be extricated from their vehicle.

In this case, a semitruck rolled into the backyard of a home after an impact on Highway 2 in the early morning hours of June 7. It wasn’t yet clear what caused the crash between four vehicles and a fuel tanker.

Extra precautions are needed around large trucks, but they’re not always enough

If you’re traveling on a highway with large trucks, you should be aware of them and take precautions to avoid a crash. Always give large trucks plenty of space. Don’t cut them off or ride in their blind spots.

If you are involved in a crash, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible even if you don’t think that you’ve been injured. Delayed onset injuries could happen, and they can put your life at risk in some instances. Knowing your legal rights is important in these personal injury cases, so you can get the medical care and the compensation that you need for all of your expenses and damages.
